ISRAEL SHOULD FOLLOW KENNEDY'S EXAMPLE

Sir, - During the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, president John F. Kennedy said, "It shall be the policy of this nation to regard any nuclear missile launched from Cuba against any nation in the Western Hemisphere as an attack by the Soviet Union on the United States, requiring a full retaliatory response upon the Soviet Union."   (listen to mp3 audio)

I urge Israel to take the same stance on any type of missile attacks coming from Lebanon. It should be the policy of Israel to regard any missile launched from Lebanon against Israel as an attack by Syria on Israel, requiring a full retaliatory response upon Syria.
